Founded in 1924 and a well-established Gold Coast club that takes particular pride in junior development, with resident PGA professionals running lessons and clinics for all ages and abilities.

Membership & junior access

Junior membership: 50+ junior members currently in the program. The club's junior clinics are described as "currently full", with a waitlist - contact juniors@southportgolfclub.com.au.
Junior coaching / academy: Structured 5-level junior program (Beginners, Level A, Level B, Cadets, Junior Pennant Team) led by Head PGA Professional Ben Campbell, Assistant PGA Professional Mitch Wilson and PGA Associate Margarita Zakareyshvili. Sunday sessions for all levels; Wednesday sessions for Beginners/Level A/B.
Family membership: Contact the club directly to confirm junior programs, eligibility and access.
Age restrictions: Junior program caters for ages 7-14+ across five progression levels, from complete beginners through to the Junior Pennant Team.
Joining requirements / waitlist: Overall club membership numbers are capped "to ensure that overcrowding does not impede play". Junior clinics currently have a waitlist. Contact the club for current membership categories and fees.
Guest access: Visitor access is reciprocal-only, for members of other affiliated clubs with a current handicap, at $150/person - there is no public pay-and-play green fee.
