PING Prodi G 2024 Junior Driver
PING's junior driver, sized 53"-60" with a 460cc titanium-faced head and a lightweight graphite shaft.
This review is based on the manufacturer's or retailer's published specifications and pricing - not a hands-on test by our team. We haven't physically tested this product yet.
Who it suits
Families custom-building or topping up a junior's bag club by club rather than buying a boxed set - typically once a child has outgrown a starter set and a coach or parent wants to fit each club properly.
Specifications
Strengths
The thinner Ti 6-4 face and Spinsistency technology are aimed at consistent ball speed and spin, while a lower centre of gravity and higher MOI add forgiveness on off-centre hits - genuine adult-driver engineering scaled down, not a toy.
Limitations
Only one loft option (15°) is offered, so there's no low- or high-spin variant to fine-tune for a particular swing. It's also a meaningfully higher price than a driver bundled into a complete junior set.
Value for money
At $416.49, this is a premium price for a single club - it only makes sense once you're deliberately fitting rather than just wanting a driver.
Australian availability
In stock through GolfBox at time of writing.
Final verdict
A premium but properly-fitted driver for families who want to build a junior bag club by club rather than buy a boxed set.
