The larger mid-mallet head is more forgiving on off-centre strikes than a blade putter like PING's own Anser in the same range, which can help a developing stroke score better on the green.
Limitations
The larger mallet head shape won't suit every stroke - trying both this and the Anser blade in person, if possible, is worth doing before committing.
