MyGolf: Australia's National Junior Golf Program Explained

What MyGolf actually is, who it's for, and how to find a program near you.

MyGolf is Golf Australia's national introductory program for junior golfers, aimed at children roughly 5 to 12 years old. It's built around games-based activities rather than formal lessons, with the explicit goal of making a child's first experience of golf fun rather than technical.

A typical MyGolf program runs as a 10-week introductory course, delivered by a mix of PGA Members, community instructors and teachers - including through the Australian Sporting Schools initiative, which brings MyGolf clinics into schools.

Golf Australia also runs a MyGolf Junior League, where kids who've been through the program can play team Ambrose events at local courses - a natural next step once the basics click.

To find a program, Golf Australia's MyGolf site lets you search by postcode for sessions running near you, with each listing showing dates, times, cost and contact details for that specific host club.
