US Kids Golf Ultralight 7 Driver

Specification-based assessment. This isn't a hands-on, physically tested review - it's researched from the manufacturer's and retailer's published specifications, plus independent research into junior golf fit and use. See our review methodology for how ratings are calculated.

The most height-precise junior driver sold individually in Australia at a mid-range price: nine sizes, each with its own loft, length and head-size combination, in right- or left-handed.

This review is based on the manufacturer's or retailer's published specifications and pricing - not a hands-on test by our team. We haven't physically tested this product yet.

Who it suits

Parents replacing an outgrown or borrowed driver who want the loft and length actually matched to their child's height - especially left-handed juniors, who have very few individual-club options in Australia.

Specifications

  • 9 height-fitted sizes covering 99-168cm player height
  • Lofts 23° down to 15° and heads 250cc up to 400cc as sizes increase
  • Graphite ultralight shaft; 26" to 42" club length by size
  • Right- and left-handed

Strengths

Most junior drivers at this price are one club cut to different lengths. The Ultralight 7 changes loft, head volume and length together per size - smaller players get more loft and a smaller head to get the ball airborne, taller players get nearer-adult specs - and US Kids states the combinations were optimised with Trackman data.

Limitations

The precision cuts both ways: a driver that fits a 110cm child properly is genuinely wrong for the same child at 125cm, so expect to buy again as they grow. No adjustable hosel or weights at this price.

Value for money

At $119.99 it sits between budget junior drivers around $50-60 and the PING Prodi G at over $400 - a fair step up given the size-specific engineering.

Australian availability

In stock through GolfBox at time of writing, in right- and left-handed.

Verdict

The mid-price driver to buy when fit matters: pick the size for your child's height and the loft and head size come correctly matched.
